My method is that I don’t believe in “The Method”. This means that I don’t claim any fancy, magical methodology that will teach you English in 12 lessons. Learning is a journey, and a very personal one, and part of this journey is understanding what works best for you.

Having said that, my group standard courses are based on the communicative approach, the one used by most course books and that has a balance of reading, listening, speaking, writing, grammar and vocabulary. In fact, we’ll typically use a course book (probably either Empower or SpeakOut, but this will be discussed with the group before the start of the course).

One-to-one courses can be much more customized, while conversation and special courses will not use a book. Courses for certificates will of course follow the exam syllabus very strictly (boring, I know, but we’ll try to make it as much fun as possible!).

So, what should you expect from my courses? A lot of conversation and discussion, but some homework as well (I know, I know – but practicing on your own is very important). And, I promise, a lot of fun!
